The Taken West
Season: Mid-Spring. There is no sign of snow across the now fresh green grass. Trees are starting to bear more and more fruit, while other vegetation flourishes as well. The temperatue is only to reach a high of 85° and a low of 70°.
Hard Times: A fairly minor reason, but because of the time of year, animals are abundant- prey and predator. Any young animal or human should be watched carefully, for predators are numerous with the season.
Enter the mid 1800's, western USA. Colonization has taken it's toll one the environment for over 100 years now. The once peaceful plains and hidden forest are ruined by towns. The Native American numbers grow small. They have been forced off their land, which they have cultivated and respected for years. Some have adapted to the "European" ways. Most, however, still hold true to who they are.
Animals too have been effected. The wolves, thought to be rabid beasts are often shot. Their numbers, like the Native Americans they hold a special relationship with, are declining. Wild Spanish Mustangs run free, and are often captured and trained by all people of the land.
